Being healthy is more than working out and eating balanced meals. If your headspace (mental health) is disrupted your body will not perform at its best. Health is not a destination, it is a journey that will have ups, downs, and roadblocks. You have to be committed to the journey, not just the destination. As you learn what lifestyle practices and foods make you feel your best, you may also discover that what feels good today may change season to season (and that’s ok). By learning to tune into what your body and mind needs from one day to the next, and one season to the next, you will create better habits, valuable tools for maintaining and even improving your overall spiritual wellness, mental, physical, and emotional health long-term.
Ways to manage your wellness:
Make time for self-cate.
Create boundaries with effective communication
Prioritize sleep and rest
Journal (write it all down)
Eat balanced meals(carbohydrates, fats, protein) and indulge mindfully
Avoid diets and restricting foods
Reframe your thoughts around your food choices and workout
Keep healthy snacks in reach
Do breathwork or mediate
Be patient and kind to yourself
Shift your mindset (perspective is everything)
Spend time in nature
Play music (soothing sounds)
Check yourself first and the company you keep, adjust accordingly
